Who said that autumn isn’t a good season for having plants and flowers? You can care for flowers and plants in autumn by following the right guide to care for them. Read on to discover how!

How to water your plants in autumn?

If the weather in your region is too dry or windy, then this will cause dehydration, and it will require you to water your plants more.

The “how many times you will water your plants” varies depending on the weather in your region and the kind of plant.

We recommend feeding the soil every day to check its humidity, if it is dry, and the leaves are dry too, water your plants, to avoid any dehydration diseases that can stick to your plant’s roots or leaves.

Light and sun

Sun is behind the clouds most of the time in autumn, but that is not supposed to be a hard deal. You can put your indoor plants facing the midday sun now because it will not harm them like summer, just help them get closer to windows.

Placing your autumn plants

Just put one thing into your consideration, Autumn is a season full of drought and wind, so if where your plants are placed attracts dust, like windows or doors, make sure to clean your plants by wiping them with a soft towel.

Plants and flowers love to feel warm and contained, so do not put them in empty wide places alone.

If you have any outdoor plants, like lemon trees, it is better to make them indoors now. You cannot absolutely put all the outdoor plants in your house.

Repotting your plants in winter

Autumn is when your plants get ready to go dormant and stop any new activities like growing or repotting. Repotting your plants is not the best thing to do in autumn unless it’s an emergency, like a disease requiring you to change the pot or soil. Otherwise, you are good to leave your plants warm and safe in their homes until spring.
